Admission Procedures

Admission to Eden College is subject to the following requirements being met:

 

Conditions of Enrolment

Together with your completed Application Form, please would you enclose the following:

  • One passport-size photograph of your child
  • The original birth certificate or valid passport of your child (the school administration office will make a copy)
  • A copy of his/her latest four / five school reports
  • A copy of Parents’/Guardians’ Books of Life or valid passports
  • A total administration/registration fee of R 400.00 - a cheque is payable to: Eden College Durban

 

Explanation of Administration/Registration and Application Fee

  • A fee of R400.00 is required for all new enrolments
  • This amount of R400.00 is a non-refundable fee

  • A fee of R400.00 is required for all new enrolments

Assessment 

  • When a place becomes available, your child will complete an English and Mathematics assessment, which will indicate your child’s ability to cope with the standard of education expected by Eden College Durban.
  • The results of/and the assessment remain the property of “Eden Schools”, and therefore, the school is not obliged to divulge the results.

 

Acceptance deposit required to secure a place

  • The deposit of R1000.00 will secure a place for your child at our school. Please note: This deposit will increase to an amount of R5000.00 for all enrolments occuring after 1 April 2013.
  • Please ensure that the cheque is payable to Eden College Durban
  • The R1000.00 (R5000.00 from 1 April 2013) is a deposit for school fees and will be deducted from your annual, first term’s or first month’s payment
  • Note: this deposit applies to an individual pupil ONLY, NOT to “families” or “siblings”
  • Note: this deposit does not pertain to Jewish pupils who register through the Durban Hebrew Schools Association

 

School Fees:

School fees are charged from the 01 January every year.
