Eden College achieves International Eco-status!

Eden College is one of the leading South African schools in the Eco and sustainable living sector. Most schools achieve their Gold Eco-status for a number of years and then a few are eventually rewarded with International Eco-School status. Eden College was awarded a Gold staus for the first time last year and has now achieved the International honour. This is fantastic news for our school and a great achievement for our community. We look forward to all of the eco-activities that occur at Eden throughout the year, but we are particulrly excited about the Annual Free Fresh Fest that will be held on Sunday 28 July 2013.

Continuing in the fine Academic tradition for which our school is well-known, the Class of 2012 also achieved a set of exceptional results. The average of 3,5 As per candidate means that half of all the results achieved were A symbolsm - a truly exceptional situation! Congratulations and well done to all of our pupils, parents and teachers - but in particular, to the Class of 2012!

Eden College receives Gold Eco-Schools status!

Eden Durban has recently been awarded its Gold Eco-Schools status! This is an outstanding achievement and one of which we are very proud. This is no mean feat and is reward for our hard work done in implementing a great environmental management process at our school, including our recycling programme, our Eco-Committee and our Green Fest. Many thanks to Mrs Van Elden and Mrs Mazzoni, our teachers, kids and parents who are all working to creating awareness and to sustaining our healthy eco-friendly environment.

The talent show was spectacular and had nineteen acts ranging from playing the saxophone to comedy skits. The winner of the talent show was Siphe Maphumulo who won R1000 for his beatboxing. In second place was Arianna Carini for singing and playing the guitar, winning R500. In third place was Denelle Vandayar winning R300 for a lovely traditional Indian dance. Special thanks to Mr Marcellin for being a fantastic MC, to Mrs van Elden for finding our awesome judges and to Mrs van Wyk for organising this event. Congratulations to all the winners!
