Q: When can I enrol?
A: Although we try and accommodate the enrolment of learners throughout the year, some of our classes are full. In certain cases we are able to create another class. It is better to apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Where possible, we will enrol the learner during the academic year. Please contact the Admissions Secretary for an interview without obligation to determine if there is still room in that grade.
Q: Is transport available?
A: We operate 3 buses. One runs from 'Toti, one from the West and another from the North. To discuss the routes please ask the Admissions Secretary. There is a nominal charge for transport.
Q: Do you have prefects?
A: No we do not have a conventional prefect system. We do however have a Stewardship programme and Student Representative Council (SRC). The Stewards are the matric leaders of the school who get elected by the pupils and staff. They serve the pupil body in various ways, ensuring a happy school and fair play at all times.
In each of the College High (Gr 10 - 12), Middle School (Gr 7 - 9) and Prep School (Gr 6), two SRC reps per class are elected to office for a year. The SRC itself then elects a Chairman, Deputy and Secretary. The role of the SRC is not the traditional disciplinary role of prefects, but rather as a critical sounding-board of the pupils at the school and forum for valuable discussion, planning and organisation for improvements to the school and, in particular, the daily lives of our pupils whilst at school.
These bodies give our learners opportunities to acquire leadership skills.
Q: What is the uniform?
A: There is a multiform. The multiform consists of many branded items, and a pupil can mix and match.
There are shorts and longs, skirts and slacks, various blouses, short-sleeved golf shirts, short and long-sleeved more conventional shirts and blouses.
There is a step out uniform (more formal). For the college boys there are ecru/stone longs with a navy blue blazer and badge. The college girls wear the blazer with slacks or skirt. The formal uniform is worn on formal occasions and at some assemblies, prize givings, award evenings and so on.
There are various uniform items for the different sports as well as an Eden dance outfit.
Q: Do you have labs?
A: The school has two computer labs.
There are also well equipped Science and Biology labs. Learners do hands-on experiments.
Q: Can I get extra help?
A: We believe in both academic enrichment and academic assistance.
Your teachers will help you out beyond regular classes, whether you want additional help, or wish to go beyond the syllabus.
Many of our learners do additional subjects at school.
Q: Do you have houses for interhouse sport?
A: Yes. Learners are placed into one of two houses, Loerie (Green) or Kingfisher (Orange).
The houses compete against each other in various sports. There is an Annual Inter-House Gala and Annual Inter-House Sports Day (Athletics). A number of other house competitions are organised
The houses also compete in cultural activities. e.g. The inter house play festival.
The houses have House Captains and House teachers. They help coordinate the house activities.
